Frequently Asked Questions
Is my satisfaction guaranteed?
Yes! If for some reason you find that your priority images (as discussed during your consultation) do not meet your expectations, we'll do a reshoot at no additional cost.
How do I secure my session?
It's easy! Just contact us for your preferred dates, times and details. We'll give you a firm quote, and you'll just need to provide half of the session fee via check (by mail), credit card or PayPal to secure the session.
Where can we get our portraits taken?
Portraits are available at the location of your choice. If you have a favorite outdoor spot, building or are looking for recommendations for picturesque locations, we'll investigate the availability and let you know of any applicable travel fees. If you're looking for more formal shots or the weather does not permit an outdoor shoot, we will use the studio space in Grandview.
What are your prices?
Each situation is different, but our prices are very competitive. Since we're a small business, we can keep overhead costs low and pass those savings on to you. Just contact us and let us know the details and we'll provide you with a quick, no-obligation quote.
Generally, for family or commercial photos, there's a flat fee for a group of images, but you'll have the option to purchase additional photos for an additional, and pre-disclosed, fee.
What all is included in the price?
There's nothing worse than being charged hidden fees and being nickle-and-dimed for everything! That's why we wrap everything up for you - and it will come in your free, no-hassle quote. This includes travel (up to 25 miles), studio and/or equipment costs, professional editing, a custom website to view your proofs and select your favorites, high-resolution digital download and the ability to order additional high-quality prints (prints not included, but very reasonably priced!).
When is payment due?
Unless otherwise discussed, any remaining payment for the session and included images is due at the time of the first session. Any additional images purchased after the proofs are passed along via email, can be payable via cash, credit card or PayPal. All payment must be received prior to the final images being released.
What should I wear for portraits?
That depends on the look that you're trying to achieve, but generally speaking it's best to avoid complex patterns. We can provide you with more information based on your desired look!
What photography equipment do you use?
JK Pritchard Photography shoots with Nikon. We shoot primarily with a Nikon D600, but always travel with a back-up body, which is a Nikon D7000. We also have a variety of studio equipment and lenses (including fish-eye, wide angle and macro for various effects).
Are you insured?
Yes! No matter if you're a family or a large business, you'll take comfort in knowing that we're insured. Additional details are available upon request.
Do you have references?
Of course! I'm happy to get you in touch with previous clients to share their experiences. Nothing speaks to our success better than our happy clients.
How long have you been a photographer?
JK Pritchard started her love of photography at a very young age, but really started coming into her own in the last six years. By continually challenging herself and always researching, learning and trying new techniques, her talent and experience grows. JK Pritchard Photography, as an official small business, has been alive and well since 2013.
Can I buy prints of your photos?
Yes! If you're interested in buying prints or canvas, just let us know which items you'd like to showcase and we'll get you a competitive price quote.
Are you looking for models?
Absolutely! We're always interested in diversifying our portfolio. If you're interested in participating in a spec shoot, please contact us.
